Create an icon but not just an icon
When it comes to brand-new functions of a product, it is part of the branding itself.
The client‘s world famous medical imaging and information management system was given new functions under the name „Thinklog“ and we were to design the icon for it.
This function combines AI with the treating doctor‘s diagnosis as well as other doctor‘s diagnoses to review your data and provide the most accurate diagnosis for the patients. At the time of release it was quite innovative and new for this industry. Even if you are living on a small island without access to specialized doctors, you could get the same diagnosis as you would by the best 10% of doctors nationwide. That‘s why Thinklog‘s icon is not only a functional icon that‘s used within an interface, but it is the logo of this incredible function.

APPROACH
Exploring shapes to create an abstract concept
First we tried to come up with keywords that best describe what Thinklog is and does. We created a whole catalogue of symbols and shapes to choose from and finally selected this hard egded infinity shape to be the face of Thinklog.
